Start in Connections and open the provider account used by the agent or workflow.
Diagnose the connection first
Check the account status
Confirm that the exact provider account is active. If it needs attention or has expired, reconnect it before changing agent settings.
Check the agent's account selection
Open the agent’s Connections settings and confirm that the intended active account is attached, especially when the workspace has more than one account for the provider.
Check the tool policy and approval state
Confirm that the required Reads, Actions, or Destructive tool is enabled. If an action has already been proposed, open its pending approval separately.
Fix the matching symptom
Choose Reconnect and complete the provider’s authorization flow. If reconnecting does not resolve the status, disconnect the account and authorize it again.
Review the permissions shown by the provider during authorization. An account can be active but still lack a provider-side permission required for a particular action.
Open the agent and inspect its connection settings. Confirm that the exact intended account is selected, especially when the workspace has multiple accounts for one provider.
Connecting an account does not attach it to every agent. Open the agent’s Connections settings, add the intended active account, and save the agent.
Review the agent’s enabled tools. The interface groups them as Reads, Actions, and Destructive. Unknown tools remain restrictive, and destructive tools require explicit opt-in.
Actions require approval. Open the pending approval, confirm the provider, exact account, and proposed change, then approve or reject it. Reconnecting an account does not bypass approvals or reset its saved tool policy.
